Cell tower location

Hi,

Is there a reason why the cell tower position in the _session.qo note is always several hundred meters off the actual location?

Hi Alec,

The cell tower location is only an approximation, created by averaging the GPS locations of actual humans’ cell phones when connected to that tower. Sometimes - generally when the tower has roads or homes equally on all sides - the location error is low. Other times - such as when a tower is on the side of a hill or near a shoreline - the average location is imbalanced and so the location error is higher.
