What is the EN Pin?
I see a pin labeled EN on the various Notecarriers.
- What does this pin do?
- Should I include it if I develop my own Notecarrier?
Disables V_IO, and power to the Notecard
The enable (EN) pin on the Notecarriers can be pulled to GND in order to disable the chips that supply VIO to Notecard.
This effectively disables Notecard.
It does not need to be connected to anything if not in use, since it is pulled up on the Notecarrier.
Not a Requirement for your own Notecarrier designs
This pin is a convenience for developers who may want to have the ability to switch off and on the power to the Notecarrier via an external signal.
