Inquiring minds want to know if I2C communications over the Qwiic connector to the Notecard is a reality, specifically in CircuitPython? Of course the dream is to just connect the Notecarrier B to any microprocessor with an Qwiic connector and start communicating. Just shoot it straight with me; it seems like its really close to working just like that.

The good news is, yes, I2C over Qwiic is a reality with the Notecard (and all of our current Notecarriers, minus the Pi HAT). Just be aware that the Notecard does need to be powered separately as Qwiic doesn’t satisfy its current requirements.
