I’m wondering if there is a way to bypass the edge connector on the notecard. I’d like to interface with it without having to use that huge note carrier board and I don’t want to design my own mcu board with the edge connector on it. It looks like there are some circular pads near the edge connector ? Do they connect to the pins on the edge connector ?

I don’t have a direct answer for you just yet, but the scenario you described could potentially be addressed with the small form-factor Notecarrier-B in case you haven’t seen that.
